An Australian man who vaulted over a barricade and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been expelled and barred from Singapore.

Johnson Wen, twenty-six, was handed a penalty to more than a week in detention for causing a public disturbance and has now been "banned from entering the country again," the country's border control told news outlets.

The man shoved through camera crews and rushed toward the celebrity, who was attending the Asian debut for the musical adaptation on the thirteenth of November. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

He has a background of causing disturbances at events and celebrity events, including rushing the stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.
