Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former physician has been charged with performing assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
The Serious Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
